On April 30th, the Flagstaff PTO held the Middle School Dance in the gym and cafeteria. This year, the theme of the dance was Masquerade Ball. The PTO was selling food and had a photo booth in the commons, while the gym was full music and fun. Everyone was dancing, singing along to the songs and having lots of fun. A special thanks to Al Dworak, the DJ of this year’s spring dance, and all the wonderful parent volunteers that made this dance fantastic.
Band and Choir

On Tuesday, May 17th, the elementary and middle school bands performed, along with the middle school choir. It was a great event, and a celebration of Mr. Baldwin’s retirement. The concert was professionally recorded and videotaped. At the concert, the students presented Mrs. Baldwin with a quilt signed by all the students for all the good he has done for the band.

April Twenty-Seventh through April Twenty-Third, the World Robotics Competition was held! Team 1619, the St Vrain Valley school district robotics team, had a great showing! They ended the qualifications round in eleventh place, out of seventy teams in their division! Then they formed an alliance for the elimination rounds, seeded seventh. Their alliance upset the second seeded alliance, and lost in the semifinals. They won the quality award as well, for their awesome robot and pit. Six hundred teams attended the championship, and it was a blast. Congratulations to Up-A-Creek robotics, and good luck next year!
